On 29 November 2016, 16:00:42 UTC, PrimeGrid’s PPS Mega Prime Search project found the Mega Prime:849*2^3335669+1 (http://primes.utm.edu/primes/page.php?id=122549)The prime is 1,004,140 digits long and will enter Chris Caldwell's The Largest Known Primes Database (http://primes.utm.edu/primes) ranked 193rd overall. The discovery was made by Randall Scalise (Randall J. Scalise (https://www.primegrid.com/show_user.php?userid=8634)) of the United States using an Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4590 CPU @ 3.30GHz with 8GB RAM, running Linux. This computer took about 1 hour 12 minutes to complete the primality test using LLR. The prime was verified on 29 November 2016, 18:54:26 UTC by Ed Goforth (BlisteringSheep (https://www.primegrid.com/show_user.php?userid=3762)) of Saint Kitts and Nevis using an Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2620 v3 @ 2.40GHz with 48GB RAM, running Linux. This computer took about 1 hour 36 minutes to complete the primality test using LLR.
