Be patient! The client will wake up itself once the Supernode is back online.

Just keep the client running. It took 9 seconds of CPU time, running for 3 days now on one of my PCs so there is no need of fearing the (inactive) client takes away ressources from other project.

The client is wasting vital ram at the moment (dodgy ram in my machine means it keeps reseting itself. The more processes running, the more frequent the resets).

i need to put a network analyzer onto my LAN, the old client, i beieve, used to dump quite a bit of traffic when it couldn't contact the snoopernode

Current Status

ChessBrain is currently inactive. We’ll bring the project back online on Feb 16th 2004. The task before us now is to prepare the project for release into the open source community. The Distributed Computing Foundation will help in supporting this goal.

There is currently talk concerning our next public event. Three organizations have expressed interest in hosting future events. Because ChessBrain is a research entity, which does not accept monetary contributions, we’ll work through non-profit groups to participate in future events.
