What a complete dork -- that's all I have to say -- doubly so for the mother who went along with it.

One thought: If the father were to have a hip replacement or the like, would be change his name to 1.1??

What happens to the kid when he goes to school?

Elementary = 2.1
High school = 2.2
College = 2.3

The versioning goes on as he collects more knowledge and 'features'. :D

Of course, it could have been worse;
He could have named the kid Version2.0 BETA.

Imagine him explaining to his wife that she had to have a revision ready in 3 months....
