Only 10 months, 24 days before I upgrade my PIII 600. Damn, I wish computers didn't still stay effective for 4+ years (The computer is at 4 years 1.33 months).

Still, it is tempting....my board supports the 2600+(the highest non-barton)

Dang it I've not long aga did a practical full build on a system XP2600+ cost me like £95 for the Chip, the build was not including a CDRom and only 256MB ram but sill cost me over £ 300 but it's a :smoking: lil machine now that it's got 512Mb, well It was machine "3/3" but I erm moved it to make it machine "1/3" :> well need decent sound system for playing DVD's (MSI KT6 mobo - 5.1 sound, LAN & SATA (not using) )
play a DVD and crunch in the background - ya ya ya :> but why didn't they drop them sooner :> hmm oh yeah Buy AMD (Intel is Overpriced)
