We're past 10% in 2 days.
Server Status
Server: Online
Protein: 1.1 B
Goal: 10.0 B
Done: 10.7%
That would put us around April 5 for finishing this speed race.

Well, I think we are much closer to 25% done, but we all are still trying to dump large amounts of generations (I'm pretty sure my 2 offline machines hav ~500 generations done between them)

what is going to happen this evening if JoeProCooling's 100+ boxen fire up for the weekend? :scared:
the last weekend he ran was the end of Feb. with the old protein
he did roughly 50 million that weekend. if fires it up tonight, he can probably (barring the servers crashing) pump out 150 million or more this weekend by himself :|punch|:
"what is going to happen this evening if JoeProCooling's 100+ boxen fire up for the weekend?"
You can along with Condor, Beth and myself scrap any plans you had to take first place :jester:

things seem to have settled out , and many cows must be out to pasture/discouraged by the busy servers
i can't believe with a super fast protien we are actually pulling away from both Ars and DPC

I can't believe it either :D

You really think this is it?
I thought you guys were smarter ...

We be flyin!
Can't imagine what would happen if the protein size was even smaller!
Do you think these lower (than last protein) RMSD values represent "better logic" in the program, or are they just lower because the protein is smaller?
I need a better translator
"It sits me not at all nice that Free-DC are faster actual. I think, hoppaaaa we go them just as considerable ownen. But that disappoints"

with the servers so busy, anyone that saves up for a large dump(s) may be disappointed when they can't get their points dumped before the protein changeover
also, anyone that risks cacheing thousands of generations might be sad when they get an error that requires them to delete their filelist.txt and lose hundreds of thousands/millions of points
cache/dumping in this environment is very very risky

Most of us who are caching is because of the shitty servers, it seems that DF are trying to stop DPC for uploading their work ...
And some people are actually producing more then they can upload, but i guess this is the same for every team :)

The arrogance of some of my fellow DPC-members strike me. It looks like getting Ars is a done deal, just a matter of time. But Free-DC on the other hand will be quite a hard one. Lot's of people had reason to believe DPC would just simply get #1 with this 58 protein. That was just a little too enthusiast don't you think? :P Even if Free-DC wouldn't be matching or at times even outnumbering DPC's daily's it wouldn't have been possible.
The arguement that DPC scores lower than able to is something that goes for everyone. I see some of the Free-DC members turning away from DF because of the upload troubles.
I would say DPC would need at least another half year to get close enough to Free-DC to even start threatening them seriously.

there is no way I can upload what I have already produced.
I have stopped all nodes and just sit here trying to upload the WUs I have. It is frustrating to keep having to restart the upload cos of timeouts.
Got 20+ million points and no way of getting it on the team total.:(

Let's give it the old college try, Fozzie -
:fight: Get those points uploaded. :fight: We need 'em :)
... and - you don't want to be RK'd by a Red Willie, do ya? :beep:
Looks like DPC has started a big flush - out-did us by 48M to 25M at the last Statsman update. MrMr is finally showing some muscle.
They are probably causing Fozzie's upload problem :stretcher

buffered results are very hard to get up during the day here, eastern time zone. waste of time even trying with a very fast connection. i work evenings and get home about 12am. no problem uploading then.

Fozzie, create an upload.bat / script file.
@echo off
cd\where-DF-is
:START
.\foldtrajlite -f protein -n native -ut
echo sleeping for 30 seconds
sleep 30
goto START
This should keep restarting when it times out...
Just check on it after a day or two.

I might get some of them uploaded now I don't have to keep checking all the time.
I owe you a pint or three.

Fozzie, the next time you are in Arizona... look me up and I will
take you up on that pint / quart / pitcher / keg... :D
When I ran the client off line and had wu's to upload,
I made another DF install and ran it to keep producing.
Then I ran the script at the same time to upload also.
No production time wasted...
Good luck... let's see some :dump: pahdnah.

I have to agree with my good friend and teammate ColdFusion, read between the
taunts and imagine it says...whozer we have to pull all the strings together just to match your output :)
Ontopic, DF has reset the goal for the current protein to 30,000,000,000.
So we all have to life with the slow upload and the hyperspeedfolding for a little bit longer :)

Too bad they reset it.... today has been just positively terrible for uploading for me, I'm right back to where I was the first 24 - 36 hours. It's taken 7 hours to get just 300 gens uploaded.

I'm not seeing the upload issues. I have 25 clients running, and not one has had more than 1 result buffered all day. They are all online, so not uploading a bunch at once.
30B ? Dang! We can't be having folks giving up on this protein or DPC will catch us for sure. We need to outlast them - hopefully they will tire of upload problems and go somewhere else. I'm stubborn - I'm gonna stick with this.
