Anybody here still have an Amiga ?
Interested in disk images ?

I am thinking of putting up an FTP site to store the images.

Loved that platform.

I use winuae every so often.

Just to play Battle Squadron, well I used to anyway.

I have fond memories of the Amiga.

Recently I bought a real one of ebay.
Actually more than one which didn't please the wife.

I still have an Amiga 1200. Don't really use it any more, but I occasionally feel a burning desire to play some Populous 2 or Darkmere. :)

It's just my opinion (and meant to create discussion), but I feel that the Amiga was farther ahead of its own time than probably any other personal computing platform ever. I distinctly remember the first time I heard stereo sound from a pair of computer speakers, saw the beautiful graphics, and was slack-jawed for a minute. Overall the software was extremely capable, and most of all, the Amiga did a lot with what we would today consider meager resources.

Count me as one of those who never had one, but always envied my friend's, while I played on my PCjr. But, I did have the cool wireless keyboard and the awesome pool simulation (pocket billiards for my friends across the pond).

I always wanted one of those but never got one.

On the other hand....when we were unpacking some boxes in the garage (I can't believe we still had this one and moved it across country) we found a Radio Shack TRS80 Mod 1 that my husband had when I first met him. :D

I remember the 64.
Darn things took so long to load that you actually played a game while the game loaded.

No I'm not joking

Rob Hubbard did some excellent loader games often better than the game itself.

Most of the music he composed is amazing, too.

Lots of it is in the High Voltage SID Collection (http://www.hvsc.c64.org/)
