I have never had a machine go two weeks without crashing. Tried all of the major ones (except OS X, and I can't afford a mac).Linux, OS 9, Win (all), one of the BSD's, they all crash at least twice a month.

magicfan241 What do you do to them? Kick them? :trash: ;)

I have no problem keeping winXP running for much longer than 2 weeks and no doubt *nix can do at least as good.

Same here, sounds like maybe you have hardware issues? I've had Windows XP and Windows 2000 boxes up for months at a time. Linux.....well I've had a linux box that had an uptime of over 2 years at one time. For the most part you should never need to restart a linux box at all once it's going. I guess it realy depends on how you are using the machines.
