Looks like the climateprediction.net project has received some extra funding to help them introduce their project to school children. Here's what they say:

The Nuffield Foundation has made us a grant to help us develop materials for school children based around the climateprediction.net project. The grant funds the development of teaching materials to link the project to the science and geography syllabuses in the U.K. This is great news for the project!

If you are a teacher in the U.K. and would like to be involved, please do contact us.

It's always good to hear that DC projects are trying to teach and educate in addition to just crunching numbers.

That IS good! I finally got around to getting a production machine on CP. I was running the beta long before release, then one of my boxen blew its hdd out the window and I had to pull the other one off for something else. Just now got back to it.

I feel that it's a really important project, so it's good to see it get more support.
