Island restarts ?

How come my island restarts when I reboot my computer ?

It was at generation 400-something, but after my reboot (to install M$ security patches), it started from generation 0, and entered a nother name in the statistics (now there is 2 * syntax_error)

Why can't it continue from my last connect ? (at 400-something probably) :(

The state of each island is saved on the server by its position in the topology. This island will be resumed when the server is restarted and someone else is allocated this same position.

All that work is not wasted because the fittest individuals produced by your island will have emigrated to other ones, and the fittest of your island is always looked at by the server to check if its found a fitter one than the fittest so far.
