Proxy problem!!!

Hi
When my computing finish client try to send workunit to your server. But it connect so strange to my proxy server. On proxy server I see only that from my IP is request connect "http://" and thats all. Client is waiting and do nothing. I cant wait forever....
I have WinGate 4.4.0 proxy server, and i have the same problem with 1.0.4 and 1.0.6 version.

Any ideas?

I've never used WinGate. Looking at their product site I see that you can enable "HTTP Proxy" which is what's required. The client doesn't talk SOCKS proxy or anything like that. Only HTTP Proxy. Can you tell me what the "<proxy>...</proxy>" text is inside your md5_user.xml file? Thanks.

my proxy line in md5_user.xml

<proxy>10.198.1.5:3128</proxy>

I have configured HTTP, FTP, SOCKS proxy (on ports:3128,21,1080). And every other aplication IE, Mozilla, ICQ, IRC have no problem to connect to inet. Only md5 cant send workunit. We have 90 computers in net and everybody can go through proxy to internet without any problems.

I can see any conection on proxy like:

"IP adress or host name"
http://www.google.com/index.htm
etc...


but when connect md5crk

"IP adress or host name"
http://


and thats all, it trying make connection to this "http://" address, what is sure stupid....


????
