There is a new item on it's way to me by truck. Should arrive in a couple of days, and take my mind off the horrible mess of DF.
An almost new Triumph Thunderbird Sport - the basic Thunderbird with a warmed up motor, better exhaust, dual front discs, adjustable front and rear suspension, and a 'sportier' seating position.
I also have a flyscreen and solo seat with cowl on the way in the matching color.
Not exactly the zoomy things that Dyyryath and others have, but enough for this old guy.

I LIKE IT!
I'm actually a big fan of motorcycles in general, not just the zoomy ones. ;) :D

It's here, and it's great!
First few miles on it, and it felt like I've been riding it for years. It fits this slightly chubby old dude very nicely. Just the right blend of classic and sporty.

D00D!!! Nice ride!
You been riding a long time or are you going to take the MSF course?
Wear good gear and enjoy yourself :D

I rode the road for years, dirt/street.
Rested awhile, like 25 years, then decided to take it back up again.
I took the MSF, and I'm glad I did! :bonk: :)
Of course, I can no longer ride now
But, I recommend everyone take that course, especially if they took a break for any length of time.
I think Dyyryath needs to go thru that course! :D

I've been riding sporadically since about 1971.
When I got back into it (again) 5 years ago, I did take the MSF course, and I believe every rider should take it. It's real easy to get into bad habits - and those instructors will really let you know about it!
I think of myself as a safe and sane rider - always wear the gear - even going to the corner gas station. I just got a new helmet a month or so ago - an Arai Quantum - a little bit of sticker shock with that, even with the 'last year's model' discount.

It looks nice, it has that British look to it. There are some anomalies like the small front wheel and the DOHC water cooled engine. And there is not a small puddle beneath it.
My first bike was a '73 Norton 850. I both learned to ride and work on everything with that motorcycle.
