I posted this in the DF forum, then decided maybe it would better to ask these
questions here.

What USB drive (brand/manufacturer/model) are you guys using and what size?
Can you boot from the USB device?
DF takes alot of room, if it's working offline, problems?

I assume 2.0 is much better to use, etc.
TIA :D

Well I've no idea but your mobo has to support booting from USB, i know mine does , as for HD erm I do believe i have a friend who's redoing one of those mini-itx boards so it has no moving parts, he's gonna use a compact Flash HD ;)
just a thought IB :)

I have used one for a long time but never booted from it.
I have an old slow 32 meg no name I got off newegg but it works great for sneaker netting d2ol units in and out of work..

If I were to buy a new one I would go with usb 2.0 and 128 meg min.

IB,

I remember seeing a pictorial on Slashdot some time ago of a guy who put a stack of mobo's together using pen drives...can't remember how long ago or any keywords. As I recall the things booted but other than that .. CRS has set in I'm afraid :D

I think he was doing F@H or S@H.

I'd help ya out, but mine is not bootable (that I can figure out yet). The software provided doesnt allow booting.

Might have to look into making an app that will format it bootable.
