No it ain't up, at least not here in San Diego, California:

I just got the email saying the update was ready but the site is still down!

A new version of the Distributed Folding Project Client (1.05) is available
for download at http://www.distributedfolding.org/ You may download it
there, or simply run the client from a terminal and the "auto-update"
feature will download and install the update for you.

In fact I just received a second email telling me this info. I go to the site and see this:

The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.

My client will not fire up and the df website is still down!

Sorry, there appears to have been a problem with the naming of the update files, that's why the site is still down. The auto-update won't work until the filenames get fixed. (Unfortunately, these are at Intel's site and not our own). As soon as I get someone to fix it for me there, it'll be back up. Thanks for your patience.

There was a short period when it was up. I grabbed the new 4-14 client and put it on all my boxes. Only one box is actually running.

The protein is very slow. Snail like:)

Jammy: It would not help. The server is down now. I got lucky and got one to start when the server was up.

First benchmark:

AMD 1800+XP

I did not time it, but that would be right on the money...

AMD dual MP 1.2GHz :
Process 1 : 1194 structures
Process 2 : 1420 structures

Both running for 32 minutes already. Much slower comparing to previous protein.:smoking:

I see this on the front page:

"Update to new protein postponed until Monday, April 15 due to technical difficulties".

It's working fine for me here

So how do you do a benchmark on just one computer out of say two? I would like to benchmark my XP 1900.
