1/ not 1 question but they all are related;
Is it so that without a distinguished point we wil take the whole way.

But when in the middle, third, fourth part of this our way could/should get much shorter.

And this change is not extremley small.
That this is even expected and with 2 or more disthinguished points it will take us the way too the soluton.

2/ why is that there more then 1 solution.



And a smal stats question:
Is the time used for estimates only 1 day, should this not be 3-7 days for a more accurate astimate.

1: I don't understand the question. Sorry. Must be something lost in the translation, :confused:

2: There can be more than 1 solution by this simple logic:

If you generate all possible 129 bit inputs, there MUST be many collisions for any given 128 bit hash.

As for the 1 day vs. 3-4 days - at such a small time interval it really makes little difference.
