fyi -- some info on DF future I'm reposting below from hosted forum.

The short answer is YES.

We have been working hard on the "easy" part of CASP-6 predictions - the homology modeling system. We have entered the fully-automated server part of CASP-6 called CAFASP. Proving to our competitors that we can do well on the "easy" part of protein structure prediction (protein fold similarity) is important to establish so that we gain credibility as we pursue the hard part of fold-prediction.

We have just recently received the first CASP targets. These are being processed internally using our LINUX cluster for predictions instead of DF. Why? Well because we are trying different versions of modifications to the algorithm and are trying to compete with a "not-quite-ready-for-prime-time" version.

In the coming weeks we will roll out:
1) Our roadmap for CASP-6 predictions
2) How DF users will be affected by our decisions on CASP-6.
7) The CASP-6 team and new collaborators for the DF project with new protein folding science!

Cheers all, and remember, we can't do things like CASP-6 without the ongoing, near 2-1/2 year support you provide in giving us teraflops of computing power to wrestle protein folding to the ground.

Thanks again!
