Where the instructions say -

Find this line
.\foldtrajlite -f protein -n native
and change it to
.\foldtrajlite -f protein -n native -rt
and if you want maximum performance use
.\foldtrajlite -f protein -n native -rt -qt

mine already says-

.\foldtrajlite -f protein -n native -qf -it -rt

Is that right?

-qf instead of -qt ?

the -qf switch is for graphical output
the -qt switch is for non graphical output, so that the client can run in background without ouput of what he is doing...

remember that when you use -qf the graphical output also takes cpu time...so -qt is definitly better

important is only the -rt switch....its for using more ram and speeding up the process a lot...

ahh.. ok. That's Quiet Mode then.
Thanks.:)

edit-Just checking to see if this is right-
command window will show nothing but the cursor, and TM shows foldtrajlite.exe- 99% cpu. ?

yep & -it is only "internet true" so that he works online -if would be the opposite of it...

hmm.. I'm looking and some of my machines .bat files have the
-qf -it -rt commands and some don't...

I'll have to fix that. :D
I wondered why I wasn't getting as many points as I thought I should be.

[When you use the "-qt", meaning "quiet=true", the program will create and constantly update a file called progress.txt with its status. There are a few 3rd party utility programs you can use to monitor the status of your local boxen.

The easiest to install, and shows some nice graphs, is dfGUI. Furthermore, it has a "config" page that lets you adjust the settings, and install the application as a windows service (vs. running the foldit.bat batch file).

If you have some Linux boxen you might want to consider our homegrown DFProgress application as well.

The "3rd party" forum over in the Hosted forums for DF is a good place to start.

OK, all fixed. I switched around some ram for optimization ;)
You should see me start flying today. :D

I revise my estimate looks like everyone outside of the top 20 need to look out for you.

That is unless you get seduced by the Dark Side and look at other projects. ;)

I am always being seduced by the Dark Side, and am always looking at other projects. ;)

I am currently running Predictor for FreeDC, although I scaled it back to one machine for now.
I'm on another FaD team... ahem..
and I have a couple machines that aren't running anything... yet..

When and how often do the stats (sneakers) update?

:23 past every even hour - so they are an hour behind the main DF pages :)

you can also use the sig feature of the stats (replace { } with [ ])

For just an image use:

Thank you pfb. :)

I saw a page that showed hour by hour, I think. Now I can't find it. I thought it was on your stats site. ??

/me raises hand
I understand that. If it weren't for FaD, I think I'd be giving tak22 a run for his money right now. BTW, congrats to tak on the 100 million point mark.

Getting back to LP, in an attempt to avert a complete thread hijack...
Those are some pretty nice DF update scores there, and if I may ask, which FaD team are you crunching for?

My points are sitting at HardCoreWare. I'm not running FaD on anything at the moment.

This one is my favorite team display (but sneakers my fav for overall display) and comes out about half past even hours): http://teamstats.macnn.com/dfold/stats.php?page=p3&TID=5&range=128&UID=194
