What is a good text editor for running under KDE in Linux? We want it to have multiple document open capabilities (in tabs), and it would be nice if it had a keyboard macro-editor to go with it.

It would be similar to NoteTab Light for Windows.

Know of anything?

looks like you have a lite( free) version and a Pro (pay) version
