As I've never heard an Attorney General refer to citizens as "Consumers" before...I have to agree with people who figure this is an RIAA/MPAA job. I've always wondered how their logic allows them to exclude guns, knives, other things if they choose to indict P2P in this manner.

I also agree P2P is used a lot for piracy..but gimme a break.

To me, this falls along the same lines as many other things that can be used for good & bad. Make it illegal to use the technology to break the rules. Leave the technology itself alone.

In the end, it's just a high tech pair of bolt cutters. Bolt cutters can be used to break & enter. They can also be used for a variety of legal uses. You don't write to the bolt cutter companies and tell them that they need to figure out how to keep people from breaking the law with them, you simply arrest the people who use them that way when you can.
