So,

Now that XP2 is out.... are you going to be "bleeding edge" and upgrade or wait it out and see what it does to other people?

I had it installed on most of my systems within hours of it being posted to Winbeta. :D

I've not had any problems with it. Of course I know what I'm doing too. I don't know how someone like my mother would handle some of the new features like the firewall.

Honestly, I would feel alot better if everyone had it installed and had their systems protected from the crap makeing its way around the internet these days.

In about 4 months or so, you won't have a choice, M$ will force the update to ALL computers connected to the Inet.

SP2 rules any how, I don't see why you wouldn't want to install it.

Well, SP2 doesn't seem to work if one has not bought that OS :)

It doesn't work on my corporate edition.
but i question the key too... we may have exceeded licences...

however, my first observation was that during boot......

the "Professional" part was dropped..... and then it just went into reboot.

So I take it my corp license is no longer valid or exceeded its license count?

I also question whether AMD support is really there and if I need the MB drivers re-isntalled or any other network (like Yukon Gigabit) installed.

Actually SP2 will work for all Windows XP OSes.

Be it *cough* pirated *cough* or legit licenses or bulk license. It will install.

I doubt that. There was a rumour once that it would install on all systems, but I've read now that it won't (declared by someone from Microsoft). SP1 didn't, too. If it does, I will be very happy :)

Ok,

Then may i ask any idea what is wrong? it simply refuses to boot fully..

it appears to get to the point of the video driver kicking in and 'poof'.
(video is 2 joined 1280x1024 flat screens on a Radeon 9800xt)

do I need a cold load of XP.... again???
