Correction to their paper has been made.

If you've been following the WebForums someone uploaded the collision
files:
http://www.free-dc.org/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7331

They have been posted to md5crk.com as well:
http://www.md5crk.com/md5col.zip

Because of this, the project will shut-down in the next 48 hours.

Thank you for all your help and support.

I will post the MD5CRK database in mysql format for all in the next
week.

I'm also plying with the idea of releasing a MD5CRK v2.0 client which will
use the fast cores we developed here to use the methods of Wang, Feng,
Lai, and Yu in an offline mode.

That would be cool, please do so!

Please don't take this the wrong way, but would you consider the project a success or a failure?

It's probebly the best-case failure I can think of.

Does that explain? :) It's risen awareness in hash algorithms (MD5's weakness in specific).

The events of the last week should improve upon our modest beginnings.

Please, jlcooke, can you change my website at stats?

I wonder if the stats will be available for access after shutting down the server?

If so, and they left here forever please change my url in them.

15 position, that's not so bad for single user...

change it from http://users.i.com.ua into http://users.i.com.ua/~death

That was my job, not my providers.....

 and anyway, good job, that was funny....

Just in case JLC or others wonder why someone asked:

"Please don't take this the wrong way, but would you consider the project a success or a failure?"

anyone who's looking for a new project to work on could also try checking out seventeenorbust WWW.seventeenorbust.com Its alot of fun adn although the client has had a few small problems on certain processors a new client is being released very soon that should not only incorporate significant speedups but als omore error free management adn P-1 factoring. Besides Gimps SB is the only DC project searchi8ng for top 10 sized primes currently. And the benefit to SB is that it does has a distinct end. The goal of the project is to find 17 primes total one for each potential sierpinski number. We've already found 6 and all the help we can get for tracking down the last 11 would be greatly appreciated. if you have any questions please check out the fourums at http://www.free-dc.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=38 They are very active and the members are very friendly. (please read alittle before posting many questions however, most of your questions will probably already have been answered in previous threads)
