you have the same board as gtest, german?

find the file he used. create a folder and download file to it.

go to device manager. select device. select update driver. select install from a specific location- the folder you just made.

hope this helps.

Now I know. Using the motherboard CD-ROM.

The problem is that ASUS K8V-F motherboard for the Athlon 64 isn't listed in Asus page.
Do you think the onboard Ethernet will be updated if I use Asus update utility?

well.., it is for bios, not drivers. look at available bios updates, if they concern your problem then update utility is an easy way to update.

I'm going to see if there is an Asus forum.

Thanks GHOST,

Carlos

EDIT:

You can see in the picture the icon and says "Network cable disconnected".

Let me see if I can express myself.

Computer 1 - WIN XP - Modem Zoom ADSL PCI (my new processor: AMD64)
Computer 2 - Win ME

First I bought two straight cables called "cable CAT-5 Patched", with 8 wires.
I made all connections by a 8 ports switch.
Then I setup all IP like this:

Computer 1 - IP=192.168.0.1 and subnet mask=255.255.255.0
Computer 2 - IP=192.168.0.2; subnet mask=255.555.555.0; gateway and DNS=192.168.0.1

What is it a bold is very important.
Then I choose to share internet and files by the same workgroup--->>>MSHOME

I thought I had straight cables but I was wrong. I have 2 different cables one with 2 wires and another with 4 wires.

That's it folks!
