Heh, thanks guys (and Moogie!). :D

I was on vacation for the whole week leading up to my birthday (which was on a Saturday) and it was pretty wonderful. I spent a bunch of time out riding (I'm into motorcycles) and a bunch of my time rebuilding my development workstation here at home.

We went to Carolina Motorsports Park for a whole day of tracktime on Sunday (Halloween), then I came home to spend some time with my new Athlon64 3700+ workstation.

For the real geeks in the audience:

I rebuilt my Gentoo install from scratch using an encrypted set of partitions (root included) with a USB 'keychain' style memory stick as the key. I also started using Reiser4 (with the 2.6.9-nitro2 kernel) and it is *fantastic*. I got my Bluetooth stuff for my phone all up and working, created a couple of new gDesklet displays to neaten things up on my brand new, clean 2.8.0 Gnome install, and started work on a Multisync plugin for Evolution 2.x (so I could sync with my Bluetooth phone).

All in all, it was a very satisfying week. :D
