F'ed off with FaD

Just got back from Holiday and went to dump 11 completed jobs and I seem to have lost the lot. The laptop connected and downloaded 125g and then I had a problem importing the jobs from the offline boxen. 3 out of the 11 appeared in the list I tried again and they all disappeared never to be seen again.

This isn't the first time I have lost completed wus I must have had 20 hosed by this import export issue.

Seriously thinking about dumping the porject.

found out today that I also lose the Xeon this week and have had to give back the 2 P4s.

Can't tell you how many lost wu's I had when there were problems with 125e. I had to reinstall several boxes and it took me a couple of weeks to tweak out all the problems I had with them. What I've learned is keep beta unchecked and download all completed wu's before trying to upload a new version.

I hope you don't get overly frustrated with it Fozzie.

I have reinstalled Fad to 125g on each offline machine and restarted the current jobs. If I lose any more I'm out and they all go to D2OL.

Eeeek...I hadn't thought about that but then, I've not had the same problems yet. I'll have to uncheck the beta box. Thanks for bringing this up.

Hey Fozzie, about how long do FAD WU take to run through. I am at 54% 18 hours in. On an AMD 3200+

You probably have a MONSTER WU!!!!

Take a look and see how many HITS you have. Nine chances outta ten you have a huge HIV or Cancer WU that is a big one to crunch.

I'm running a Sempron 2800+ and have had an HIV WU take almost 3 days!!!

Tell me how many hits you have...

that will estimate how much you'll get for that WU.

It's based on the GFLOPS used so if it is taking a long time you should get a nice return.

You can intersperse smaller WUs into the mix if you need regular stats fixes.:D

How many seconds has it been running?

My Barton 2600 works out at 20,000 per 1000 points and that is rated as 186.

I would guess yours would rate at the top score of 210 for that CPU.

So add another 15% (don't hassle me about the bal park maths OK)

So look at 12 points every 200 seconds it has been running.
