TKC's Thread v2.0

As promised, I am bringing a new KeyCounter thread into the forum so the other one doesn't get too bulky. Just letting all the TKC ppl out there know they should post to this thread now until TKC's Thread v3.0 comes out. :thumbs:

Really, I could've posted to the other thread, but I need about 1,100 keystrokes (that's 1.100 for you the-mk :smoking: ).

I figure Mr. Crimson Crow will be making a dump sometime along the way, but then I'll be 21st in ranking for TKC. Only 300,000 more keystrokes (roughly) until I break into the Top 20!

In a little over a month's time I've done roughly 550,000 keystrokes. That means I'm looking at 600,000-1,000,000 keystrokes every 2-3 months (depending on the slow periods of the year where I will be working 10x the amount I'm sleeping).

3-4 million keypresses a year doesn't look that bad to me.

outnow15....I'm coming for you.

You can sit back and watch as I type my little heart out trying to catch up with you.

:beep: Better watch out...I might install some nitrus in this thing. I am thinking of getting back into my MUD/MUSH/MUX gaming. All text based RPG style gaming....

Let's just say I do roughly 10,000 keypresses a session, and a session is only 1-2hrs long.

Just an update...I just played for 2 hrs and got 9660 keystrokes. :)

Playing a few computer games is really good for your stats. Well, depends on the game you'r playing.

The main work I do is coding. That's not good for my stats, too much thinking, too less typing, that's really bad for the TKC stats. Well, at least I'm moving my mouse around constantly while thinking (a bad habbit of mine) and that's good for the MouseTracker (BMT) stats.

I ought to type more documentation that would really improve my stats.

Or post more text to this forum. Hmm .. but I don't want to bore you so I rather continue with my work now. Earning some money is always a good task to do.

:beep: drove about 600 km the last two days :crazy: to learn about the motorhighways of my country Austria :D

All I learned is:
- My car needs twice as much fuel if I drive full speed :bonk:
- I don't like driving in night when it rains :cry:
- the Alfa Romeo had more power than I have at accelerating to full speed, and he had more v-max :beep:
- and a lot of more :crazy: things...

So, do we have a TKC 2.0 client now? Did I miss something the last two days? If I look at the frontpage of keycount.piqsoftware.com maybe not...

So keep on typing! :D

And who wanted to threat my sister outnow15? Was that you Captain? Are you sure you can overtake her? The last two months she was at school, but now she's back home again and she does a lot of ICQing! If she would start from scratch she would roadkill you in a few days :evil-laugh: so be afraid!

We don't have a KeyCounter 2.0...yet. We have the second version of TKC's -THREAD-. Very very important stuff....gotta watch out for that.

I can overtake your sister. The math works. Even if she does put another couple of million on, that downtime is enough for me to ROCKET up the charts to near your sister.

Better tell her to run dual keyboards and grow a few extra hands. Might wanna go have her visit Chernobyl.

What can I write into this post to increase my keycount? Well I don't know... maybe I should hammer the keyboard? jlkösafdjlsjölkfweaoiueuoiwaouiplhsdlönkdnmyvxcnmxycmvcmyv.,n maybe a bad idea.... just bored... sitting here and I don't know what to write :( but writing that I don't know what to write increases the keycount too :D

It would be creat if we are able to count our minds, that would be really interesting. I think I should stop right now and eat something... we have a :drink: smiley, but no :eat: smiley! Can we do something against that?

Top Twenty here I come! With what I have saved up (waiting to DUMP) I have less than 100,000 to go until I overtake the number 20 spot on our team! I picked up that all text-based RPG game (www.mushclient.com, download, install, open it, quick connect, address is mordormud.com port is 4000 if you are interested). Now when I play that game I pull off an amazing 10,000 keys/hr minimum. Looks like one night I'm going to have to stay up and play for like 8hrs...100,000 keystrokes in 8 hours will be my goal.

This typing alone just gained me about another THOUSAND keystrokes.

Obsessed? Yes...

You should have seen me when I found out that if I ran my SETI client w/o the screensaver that a WU could be done in 2.5hrs instead of 15. I -was- IRATE, yet even more obsessed than before....

install M.A.M.E (http://www.mame.net) and play some shoot em up's like Galaga with the keyboard... or even track 'n' field and you'll get a lot more than 10K per hour :)
