I really can't see what people find enriching from putting a bullet in some other living creature.

Barbarism for the 21st century. :(

Most people in the civilized world would find this news story distressing.
Shame there are still parts of the world where this is considered acceptable behaviour.

I am a "Blue State" LIBERAL Gun Owner

Over 1 million whitetail deer in my state, when "white men" first came to this state experts believe the number was around 50,000.

Hunting for me is 90% going out, sitting for hours, and watching the wildlife. If I happen to shoot thats great, most of the time that doesnt happen. I find that hunters care more about nature and preserving it then most people that never set foot in the woods.

just my .02

btw hunting via the computer is lame and I am sure will be outlawed

I don't have a problem with hunting as such. Just the thought that someone might think it funny to try to knock the legs off some creature. I think doing hunting via the web should be outlawed. Will someone be there to finish off an animal that is wounded, but out of shot of the fixed gun. That is my biggest fear.

I enjoy shooting, though I don't hunt myself. I don't have any problems with hunting for (a) food, (b) sport when it helps to provide necessary animal population control (deer are a great example).

I agree with whilden, most hunters have a greater 'connection with nature' for lack of a better term than most, but this, however, just seems intrinsically wrong...

It's also scary to think about what could possibly happen if someone were to be able to hijack said gun and possibly shoot another human being. I know they said they have people moderating the sessions, but that wouldn't make me feel any safer if I was out an about in that area. Moderation and having complete total control are two totally different things. So now they face the possiblities of putting a gun into a hacker's control.....stupid to say the least.
