Yeah. I just dump once or twice every day.

i do this because in the past when i would make all clients send intermediate blocks, all too often, either my internet connection would go down or it wouldnt connect to the server for one reason or another. and since it tried to connect for 20 seconds EVERY block report, i came to the conclusion that i was losing a lot of produdction. i don't know why more people don't do this.

anyway, let's just keep crunching.

You say you only dump once or twice a day. How do you do that? Is that because you finish a complete workunit then or is there a way to dump those intermediate blocks only every 100th time or so?

I know I lose some time cause of the uploads but I never figured that out to be that important. Perhaps 2%-3% of my production is lost by that. IF there is a way to improve that it would be great though.

when i want to dump, i just vnc into them and go into config and check 'send intermediate blocks' .

if there were an option to send anywhere from 50 to 500 blocks that would be nice.

Another way to improve performance is to run SOB is normal priority.
I only do it at night.
