Server Changes on the Horizon

We'll be moving the Free-DC site, forums and stats system to a new server some time tomorrow night. This will probably take place after 10pm EST, during which time the site will likely be unavailable to some users as the DNS changes take effect.<br><br>I'm not expecting this to cause any problems since <b>Bok</b> is handling the bulk of the work personally and the DNS change shouldn't take more than 2 hours to update.<br><br>We'll soon be on a shiny new system... <img src=http://www.free-dc.org/images/news/icon14.gif>

Hopefully I've got redirects on all the pages for the stats pointing to the relevant new ones, let me know if that's not the case :) It's purely php on the front end now, no static html. I'll do a sticky post on them in the next few days.

Also, as always let me know of any bugs in the new stats.

Yup - that's what they did, but it was evidently a mistake.

Supposedly the 1800 GMT stats will be merged by nickname/email again.
There's at least 3 threads on their forum about it, including one I started.

It might be a little slow as I'm doing lots of maintenance & clean up on the current server today.

Ok, all done.

Forums are running on new server. Switched off on old one.

resolving ok for me right now, but then again I'm cheating and using local DNS :p

Everyone else should resolve in the next few hours....

I think everything is running on the new server, including the dnet proxy. If anyone was using an IP address for this, they should change it to use free-dc.org.

At the moment I grab each teamstatspage (only one: Free-DC) and search all the numbers I need from the HTML pages...

And their Web-API isn't very helpful :(
