So I was pumped the other day, having completed 100 work units in a 24 hour period for the first time. I went browsing to see how the farmers ahead of me did that day too, when I noticed the disparaging WU:Points ratio.

User Points WU Ratio

Condor 8,455 114 74:1
beth133 12,461 165 75:1
Tamari 14,016 102 137:1
maefly 25,648 50 512:1

Very interesting, why would Condor need to do 6x the work of maefly to get the same amount of points?

He's probably doing smaller units (units with no deadline) which are worth about 30-50 points each and much quicker apposed to doing larger units (units with deadlines) which are worth up to 600 points each.

Originally, FAH WU's were only worth a few points and since then, the average value per WU has risen dramatically (easily 10x), so people who have been crunching longer have a lower ratio.

Well, he certainly isn't doing more WU's that are worth more, because maefly is doing 1/3 as many work units - and getting 6x the credit for them.

Also, these work units were all finished on the same day, that is what the ratio is based off of, not total Points:WU but the WU completed in a specific 24 hour period.

Any ideas:confused:
