There will be prizes on offer during the gauntlet of some hardware put up by Free DC'ers.

Haven't thrashed out the type of competition but be sure we will make it open and even to smaller and larger pharmers out there.

One rullette you ahve to be a member of Free DC to enter.

Free DC'ers estimate the total points that will be generated by both gauntlet teams in the first week, i.e. up to the last update on Sunday night. Answers to be in by 6PM GMT on the Sunday.

The answers will be ranked and taken forward to the same estimate the next week.

The highest agregate rank gets top prize , with further prizes (if confirmed) to 2nd, 3rd etc.

This seems most GHZ independent to me.

I guess I must be slow but can you explain this a little better

Say you guess 61,250,000, and PY guesses 64,350,000, and I guess 59,000,000.

If the actual amount is 60,550,000 then you would be 700,000 away, PY 2.8 mill away and I would be 1.55 mill away.

So ranked

1. Laurenu2
2. Fozzie
3. PY

etc

If PY was closest next week and I was 2nd and you third the aggregate ranks would work out.

Laurenu2 1 + 3
Fozzie 2 +2
PY 3 + 1

So we'd all win

Of course with more entries there would be less chance of Fozzie feckin' it up :p

I agree, without going over is how those type of competitions usually work out.

OK I get it now the one who Guess the total or the closest to to total output of the team listed wins

Is there a cut off date to submit your guesses of the total?

I know I know I am a pain

But when I started the contest over at XPC I got asked all Dumb questions like this To:|punch|:

absolute differences so over or under doesn't matter.

I don't want people who go over the first week having no chance the second.

So 500 points over = 500 under etc.

Estimates to be in up to 6PM GMT on the Saturday. (Was Sunday but that doesn't allow the tension to grow enough)

Seeing as the weekly output figure is on WOO's stats it won't be difficult to get fairly close.
