Seems to work really well. If you get that nice lovely v3 error, it will wait and try again before getting any more work. Your not losing any WU this way.

lol .. i just came to post that message, and its here already, thanks to Thor!

you guys have already tested i guess, all clients: win, mac, linux have been updated, they wait for the server to come back and then get the result posted! you dont lose any work!

I know this is just a temporary way, so that we get time to find the actual bottle neck and fix that.. bear with us till then :)

Think I may have trouble installing it on my laptop. Will try my best though :(

EDIT: Never mind, no trouble :D

The new linux client segfaults on all of my gentoo systems tried so far. Also segfaults on a Suse server. Ok on redhat.

Ok on Mepis (debian based)

Has the default priority level changed in the Linux client? Seems to be hogging the system a bit more than the windows client set at low. Anyone else notice this or is it just me?

The new linux client is running okay on Slackware, Suse 8.2, and Libranet (Debian variant)

UPDATE.

It's actually ok on Gentoo. I had untarred it into the current directory which contained an old version of the library file, doing it fresh worked fine.

I downloaded the newest version of EON and installed it on one of my computers and now all it does after doing 1 WU is :

[FIDA] Reporting Results
[FIDA] Connecting to Server
[FIDA] Failed - RecvldaMessage
[FIDA] Failed - Reporting Results
[FIDA] ZZZZ - Sleeping for 60 seconds

It just keeps giving me this message over and over.

My other computer with the older version is working fine.

Can anyone help me out?

You sure you aren't having a network issue??? It's working fine for me.
