Had to change the Boinc stats slightly. The 'name' is now the assigned ID from the project. You will have to update your statstool settings for the new id's..so that the scores show..no history has been lost.

Sorry, but I need to do this in order to fix some problems I had with an upcoming change...

Bok

*EDIT*

started the additions. I'm now tracking some other teams now in Boinc. At the moment it's just AMD-Users and US-Distributed. This is by request, to allow some of the members to display their scores on the signatures. Other teams can be added upon request...

I've done the changes to CPDN and Seti for now, I'll add the other BOINC projects today

*EDIT2*

Added the other 3 Boinc projects.

Thanks to Darkness Productions we have a bug / feature submission form for the stats. See it at the bottom of every stats page. You will need to be logged into the forums for it to work..

They will show up in the Todo (http://stats.free-dc.org/todo.php) list though I don't have a mechanism for answering them, you'll see them as completed=Y when done...

Added the option for including the overall DCR rank on the image as requested by DP

Select it via Statstool (http://www.free-dc.org/statstool.php)

I placed it at the top of the image, but might move it to it's own row if people prefer that ?

July 10th (part 2)

Added PSP stats following a request from em99010pepe (which could have just been requested in the Bugs/Feature request page (http://www.free-dc.org/bugs.php) :)

I'll be adding them to the signatures, users, & dcr later today......

I seperated them out into 2 distinct projects - sieving and PRP

PSP Sieving (http://stats.free-dc.org/new/projpage.php?proj=psp_s)

PSP PRP (http://stats.free-dc.org/new/projpage.php?proj=psp_p)

Would you like to add the Bretagne WCG Team to Free-DC stats, please?

Just a little question about your really wonderfull stats tool : is it normal (I think it is, because it may be the first update) that my team and it's most powerfull members are at the top of the today's wcg project stats? If it is, how long should we wait (one week, one month?) for having realistic stat graphs?
Thanks again.

Bok

Was this request overlooked?

Bok
08-15-2006, 01:08 PM
Not overlooked, but it's non trivial...

Only way would be via javascript which I'm a little loathe to do. All of my other sorts are done real time on the database, but in the case of users, each row is a select to a different table, so it can't be re-arranged via a sort.

Bok

alpha
08-15-2006, 02:19 PM
Couldn't it be done with PHP? Put the rankings into an array and then sort it before printing?

If not no worries, I'll just use my eyes. :)

Bok
08-15-2006, 02:28 PM
Actually yes, it probably could. At the moment it puts it out as it gets it from each DB call, but I could probably cache it all up into an array and then do a sort array call on that before displaying.

Will think a little more about it.

It's a Boinc project, so all teams are in. If you aren't showing it's because you aren't in the xml stats. Possibly becuase you have zero points?

Bok
11-28-2006, 03:58 PM
Well, maybe, but you will already be in most of them. I track all teams wherever it is possible..

If you go to this (http://stats.free-dc.org/teams/teams.php?team=OcUK%20-%20Overclockers%20UK) page it will show most of it, but I may have some the teamnames wrong, so there is a form linked at the top right where you can help me out by giving me the correct team name for each project...

For projects like dnet, wcg and UD I have to manually add your teampage to be parsed as those projects don't provide any kind of export, so I will do those as soon as possible...

Bok

p.s. CM, I'll make a note of it, didn't realise TKC was finished..

A new Project has surfaced and is gaining acceptance in good numbers in only a short time called: Pi Segment

URL Found here: http://pisegment.vicp.net/index.aspx

The founder of the AMD users team (NeoGen) was wondering if you could add this project to your stats and DCR.

***Note from NeoGen*** Please remind Bok again to add us on DCR, on Proteins@Home. For some reason the only team with points there on the DCR is team Anandtech.

I looked at it earlier in the week, the source HTML to parse is awful, very non standard... but I'll get a driver written for it probably on monday.

I'll take a look at Proteins right now in the DCR..

Actually I don't think anyone from AMD Users requested their proteins@Home team via the form on their teampage (http://stats.free-dc.org/teams/teams.php?team=AMD%20Users) which drives the teams DCR. I've added you in now so you'll show on the team DCR next time it runs.

On the stats page, you use pie charts to indicate the percentage the top 10 members in a particular project have contributed. On other stats sites, I've seen similiar percentages used to show what amount a given member contributes accross all that person's projects.

As another column in the sigs, do you think a percentage breakdown each project is to all the projects a member may be contributing to would be something worth showing?

I.E

SAP.........23%
WCG........17%
Seti..........34%
RCN............8%
Rosetta.......6%
Nano...........2%

Seti@Home is there (in alphabetical order).

I've added the team in to the list. Please note that it doesn't really do anything yet (just allows you to filter by team on the DCR (http://stats.free-dc.org/users/dcr.php) page :)

ABC@Home Beta (http://stats.free-dc.org/new/projpage.php?proj=abcb)

and

Distributed Rainbow Table Generator (http://stats.free-dc.org/new/projpage.php?proj=tmrl)

ABC@Home data was migrated to the new beta version as the original will be wiped soon by the project and started at zero..

I've also added these to signatures, users, statstool, DCR etc and done the migration of the ABC@Home ones to the beta..

Let me know if anything is amiss.

Hi Bok.
Did you get the abc beta script to run?

Bok
12-29-2006, 08:05 AM
The xml stats weren't ready when I looked yesterday evening, so it's still commented out of the driver..

Actually the beta one is running right now, it's the main one I've got commented out until the xml is reset.

Took a look at it and it appears to be all reset now, so I'll switch it on..

I don't think Euler stats are possible as you can't differentiate from users and teams IIRC.

Hey Bok!

Did you add Google adverts to the site? Were the donations so low? I don't mind those adds at all, but they mess up the layout of my personal stats page. The box with all the projects with my creds isn't all the way up anymore, but about 2 to 3 inched down, leaving a big blue empty space. See the attached pic for better understanding.

:)

If you wouldn't mind, could you update Team Blueberry Pi (in PI Segment) to be associated with Ars Technica (which is presently a phantom team in the list)

In appreciation of your efforts with the team stats, I've just sent a few bucks your way (I should also mention I couldn't use the Paypal button in Firefox on Windows, or Safari on Mac - had to fire up IE to get it to work).

Bok

You mean on the Ars Technica Team page (http://stats.free-dc.org/teams/teams.php?team=Ars%20Technica) right ?

I've done that. You can actually request those yourself from the link in the top right corner, it doesn't apply directly but I pikc any changes up and apply them :)

I've deleted the phantom row team (my stats engine currently does not have any way to mark teams as non-active, say on a name change - devel version will do this though...)

Cheers for donation! Not sure on the paypal link. Works fine for me under firefox??

It seems to happen from time to time with the WCG non-boinc stats for some reason, I think its the weird way WCG does there stats feed - there is already a thread running HERE (http://www.free-dc.org/forum/showthread.php?t=12012) about it

For the last month or so the stats have been frozen in Whatpulse. I understand they went to a small donation as an update to cover costs to operate there service. This may be the reason for the lack of xml stats being exported?

United Devices/Grid.org closed its doors on April 27th 2007. The project has ushered all its working members to join the WCG projects. This would mean that the stats are now retired. News about closure: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=12904

The Boinc Project vtu has been silent for sometime. There is no response from the primary server and all activity is sent to the alternate with also no response. The actual project was short lived as it was testing test platforms or something odd like that.

This was just a heads up ! !

According to Post #141 your on vacation sort of, I suggest you relax for a bit and prop your feet up. Sleep in; in the mornings, and in the evenings pop open a cold one and relax a bit. Hopefully as in any vacation, one feels better once has languished in the realm of not having to do the normal things that drive us all crazy. I am not into physical violence of bashing one's head just because he made a mistake and proves he's human like the rest of us earthlings.

But in all project table PI segment is present (http://stats4.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=team&proj=pi&team=Ukraine)?

oh well please take a look at http://www.reflectionit.nl/Html2Xml.aspx

or something like html2xml (http://www.google.ru/search?sourceid=navclient&hl=uk&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1T4GGLJ_ukUA262UA263&q=html2xml)

or maybe I can just write to author asking him to make xml stats version?

This is a pity not to see a stats for some project here in free-dc.

well, it might be possible, if the names of the teams against the users are consistent, which they look to be at first glance. They did not use to have this information last time I looked at it.

Which should be the main metric ? Total Time, Total Speed, Ranges or Solutions ?

Death
06-09-2008, 09:27 AM
well it's sorted by total time - so i suppose this is the main metric.

Bok
06-09-2008, 09:35 AM
I actually still think they need to clean up the data before it can be parsed 'properly'.. I mean

1. Laurent Evrard
2. Laurent Evrard
3. Laurent Evrard

Sure I could concatenate the scores together, but it's all somewhat messy. I'm guessing they are individual instances of that user and these are simple cases, but then we'd get

Lars Dausch Desktop
Lars Dausch Games

Now I would put those together, but it would be impossible in a script to figure that out in most cases.

So regardless I could never match the stats at the site. Until the Euler site puts in some form of unique identifier which I can ready I don't really think it's worth it.

well users with the same name is a different PC's of one user, so same names can esily be merged.
Different usernames can be a different users in stats, not a big deal i wonder.

thats better than nothing. how much time it takes to you to setup it?

Oh my. Sorry sorry. I just try to find Sudoku somewhere near S letter not P )))

Lauren, I addicted to Free-DC many years. I love you all guys! Thanks 2 BoK for all that he does.

And one Q - can you highlight a row with a team to user. I usually try to find my team Ukraine and fast scroll thru 100 positions is not so easy.
So any user can have his team highlighted.

Bok
08-01-2008, 09:10 AM
Not quite sure what you mean ? Can you explain a little more?

Do you use http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=teammain&team=Ukraine

as a starting point ?

alpha
08-01-2008, 09:14 AM
I think Death means if you're on a team then your team's row is highlighted on a page like http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=teams&proj=fah&offset=101 so that you don't have to scroll through slowly searching for the team name (or ^F it).

Perhaps you could use a lookup based on your statstool config for the project to find out what team you're on. Seems plausable, and a neat idea?

Bok
08-01-2008, 09:24 AM
It's plausible I guess. I'd thought about something like that a while ago (>1year ago) using an AJAX function to scroll to it.

But Search does that anyway.. I guess I could 'autocomplete' search based on the team entry in statstool, but it would probably get annoying quickly if it was the default setting don't you think?

Bok

alpha
08-01-2008, 11:47 AM
I don't like the sound of auto-scrolling to where your team is in the list (annoying), and the search function on the stats pages singles your team out.

Death's idea is nice because on pages like those I linked, you're usually looking at how your team compares with nearby teams anyway. Having your own team's row highlighted some outstanding colour just gives that extra emphasis to remind you of your reference point.

Bok
08-01-2008, 12:04 PM
ah, ok I misread, you just want the highlighting, regardless of where it is.

It is fairly easy, but it would be based on the teamname entered in statstool, so dependant on that being the same across projects.

Otherwise it would be an extra call to 'get' the teamid for the user logged in on the project in question which is then dependant on the id having been entered in statstool - which I guess is doable also.

I'll have some more thinking about it and put it on our list..

http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=teammilestones&team=Free-DC.

works for any team though.

It's in the links on the leftside which will default Free-DC unless you are logged in with a statstool ID, in which case it takes the value of the team you have entered in statstool..

There is also a link from the teammain page..

Bok, is there any chance of getting the "Perc" column on the OGR stats to show two decimal places, like the official stats do?

The reason I ask is that I'm currently sitting on 0.55% which is being rounded up (albeit correctly) on stats.free-dc to 1%. However, looking at the data at the moment, there is a difference of ~3 million Gnodes (almost my entire production to date!) between 0.55% and 1% team contribution which is definitely significant! I was tricked into a false sense of security when in reality I need to step up my game and get closer to a true 1%. :)
