I think with all these lengthy jobs about output is going to be a little varied. I am seeing some jobs (qm3 mainly) run for well over 24 hours on rocking systems.
Fozzie, you going to produce a massive upload this week? ;) get us back to number 2 slot this month... mines due on wednesday when im back in :D
i'm sure with a few more borges we can take out XPC this month...

Sob mmmm OK I will look into it What goal of this run?
Lauren,
it's a mathematical project to prove the sierpinski conjecture. Basically to find 17 primes, 6 of which have been found.
Be nice to get Free-DC in the top10 which is not far away right now, there is another goal too which is a little further away :p
Apart from the fact that it is a math project, the client and stats are pretty good. It's heavily weighted in favour of intels though, I'm not going to run any of my AMD's on it.
At the moment, I have 2 dual Xeon's (2x3Ghz), 2 P4 3.2's, a 2.8 and a 2.6.
I've put my opteron and AMD64's on Fad, the rest is still going for my goal in D2OL. Then they'll move to FAD also...

it would be a waste to put AMDs on it IMHO.

I wouldn't say it wasn't worth it, just that they are much more optimized for intel and SSE2 instructions especially.

Sure can't. I -only- have one PC that can DC at the moment. My dad's computer gets too hot and screws up. He can't risk losing his client's tax data for a second year in a row because the heat was killing the HDDs.
I'm down to 1. I managed to sneakernet a copy of SOBSVC.EXE onto my roommate's Celeron 2.7GHz system but my 2GHz Sempron is pumping out more work than it is daily.
I have grown a bit tired of FaD since that is basically all that I've crunched my entire DC career (except a two-year non-envolved run w/ SETI@HOME in which I discovered that by turning OFF the GUI Screensaver I could cut my WU time down from 16hrs to 3hrs....needless to say I dropped the project after that because I was so mad).
Maybe once I stretch my legs a bit here on SoB then I'll return.

My Xeon farm's main controlling server is amasingly unreliable - I will be switching it across onto another later. I am more concerned with the lack of reason for the reboots than the fad stuff, but it will get a good kicking this evening, then everything should be just dandy :D

But is now asking for a 10.00 =20,00 donation But it is not mandatory I think

And now I some what regret doing it with the way some of the members treated me

Yeah - that's me. Older than dirt.
I only popped up on the radar today because I made some errors when re-installing clients. They are properly connected to the right user-id now.
Back to lurking and crunching - and maybe a little :stomp: as I go by.
RANT
After losing the connection to most of my boxes today (I stupidly had the clients running in ssh windows on a server which was amongst 4 that failed when a UPS crashed :( ). One of the others was my main machine I ssh into from outside the network. My wife fixed up my login ssh server at home (thank my stars for an understanding wife!!), so I've just got back on from the hotel I'm staying in. ssh'd to about 15 boxen to restart clients (using screen this time!).

Started FAD on about 10 of them, so I should start getting ok'ish numbers. I'll fix the rest up later ;)

There isn't for our team. I have the # set at 100 for this, and we only have 79 members. So, I dunno why you aren't on the stats yet.

It can sometimes take a day or more before you show up in the stats. I wound up here by accident myself, a friend who was running his machine on my account decided to go off on his own, and changed the team number in his setup window, he didn't change the user name or email address so he moved my account for me. After lurking around for several days I decided to stayhere.:)

@NiceMedTexMD -
First let me say Welcome! Now the good news is your jobs are being uploaded and being counted, I can see from the FAD stats page that your stats include a job that finished with the previous update. Your rank is #9042 overall which should have made you #77 in the Free-DC team stats as of the previous stats run. I think it might help to double check your team info -- are you running Windows? If you run the FADSETUP.exe, normally in the c:\program files\find-a-drug you should be able find the right tab that has the Team info and double check the 2020 is still in there and looks good. Someone else will hopefully reply with more details on how to do this if you can't find it. Reply what you see, the next step may be to contact the FAD people -- folks on our team know how to do this and will reply. Here's the info from the FAD stats fyi:

Lauren i appreciated what you did over there and at your web site i still frolic thru your website from time to time but seems as though no one posts over there:)
Have a very nice day:)

Hi ya pain_inbutt
How are you doing ?
Yes I know I set it up so XPC could use it to talk in a private place And now they do not even use it
I have not had much time to upgrade the site with the TAX Man coming.
But I will soon
The only posts there seem to be in my Family forum But you can not see them.
How are things over at XPC ? I see your moving up the ladder Good for you

Things ok over there at XPC:)
Yea i,ve added a few more cows here 4 all together now guess total is somewhere around 500 cpu rating now i know its not much but its all i have. I guess if i really wanted to kick it up a notch i would put my old PI @ 200 mhz back on line:rotfl:
Oh i did win a contest over at xpc in DEC thats where one of my new cows came from.:)

maybe you should be holding a drawing every day? :-p

June? 05/05/05 is this coming Thursday - May 5th.....
Is the cow stampede meant to start 05/05/2005 or 01/06/05

Perhaps they MOO-ved it, but at one time they were talking about 05/05/05 since it was such a "significant" date...
I didn't pay much real attention after that first announcement, it is quite possible that they decided to MOO-ve it to June first and I missed it....

I don't think that Me beefing (a punn) up the membership with a few new nodes would slow or stop anything

Actually that's top 5 only in daily production - they're in 10th place, teamwise. I still think that it will take them some time to reach 5th place team - even their stampede isn't going to make that happen overnight...

But our goal is to match or top there output
Its like a test to see our 44 can do the work of there 295
We seem to be able to match that number with TSC
I think it will not be any different with DPC

on June the 1st as far as I know.
However it would be good for us to start ramping straight away as the bigger the lead the longer it wil take them to overtake us.
They will at least triple their active numbers before they start.
Best if we get prepared.
