Thanks to eBay, I'm now the proud owner of 10 overclockable 2.0 Ghz Xeons. I don't intend to actually build 10 systems, just one dual, so I have 8 of them available at my cost: $70 each...
Shipping would be a total of about $2.50 for however many you order...
PM me if you are interested in any of these....
I'll take two off your hands. I've already got two coming from the same source anyway :)

On second thought, maybe I'll be needing to build them all up into systems after all. :D
PM me - we'll work out the arrangements. I'm not expecting these to arrive here until mid next-week at the earliest....

Geeze - how many boxen is he planning to build here ?? Now I AM starting to get nervous !!!!
Anyways, a couple of people have responded - I'll be letting everyone know when they arrive, and Bok is going to set up some web pages where I can post a photo shoot of building up some of these systems. I just LOVE taking pictures....:bouncy:
As I understand it, these 2.0 Ghz Xeons will OC to 3.0 Ghz without having to make any changes to the mobo to adjust Vdimm - just the jumpers in the sockets are sufficient, and easy to do. A 30 second mod....

$70/pair or $70/processor?
If it's $70 a pair then we need to talk. :)

Don't I wish I could get them for $70 per pair....
Read my first post, which says $70 each. My cost was $699.00 for the lot of 10 with shipping, or $69.90 each. On eBay, you can currently pick them up for about $80 each + $12.00 shipping and around $3.00 of insurance (or roughly $95 each) or about $170 - $180 per pair with shipping and insurance figured in.
I have been led to believe that you can run a dual board with just one processor initially and then add another one later. Also, I plan on doing a "photo shoot" of what it takes to get a pair of them up and running with the $89 dual board I have coming. These overclock to 3.0 Ghz with a fairly simple mod and the right motherboard. I've read that they can be run at up around 3.6Ghz with a little work...

The processors are in - I have 4 sets (pairs) that I can sell - $70 ea / $140 per pair + whatever it costs to ship it to you. PM me with your zip code, and I'll generate a PayPal invoice.
I'm open to other payment arrangements - PM me...
