Does this project favor any particular processor over another?

Don't know about AMD as I haven't built any for 4 years now. Heard they were faster, but that may be old info.

I get 130-140/day on a P4 3GHz HT with 2 clients running. The P4 2.4's average 80-90/day

Is there an easy way to run multiple clients for HT or multi-proc machines? Or do you need to do two separate installs to different directories? Or what??

You'll need separate directories of the client for however many processors you have on your box.

Also, note that D2OL is quite the memory hogger!

take a look here for a 4 cpu, or 2cpu + HT install

Just take note that using those installers will not result in rsbriggs/Free-DC credits:

They will also come pre-registered to the "XtremeSystems_Community" account/node. All work contributed to XtremeSystems using these 3 installers will go to that community account.

The personal installers will give you the credit, it is only the community installers that go to XS.

I used the personal installers, and registered the nodes to, oddly enough, me :D

What is D2OLEDaddy? I notice it running. And, what's the best way to monitor these guys, since they don't have a GUI where you can go check statistics???

D2OLDaddy keeps D2OL in check. The program enjoys going nuts and taking over your computer. D2OL Daddy grounds it to its room and makes it clean under the bed.

Fast P$ w/HT are alittle faster than AMD's, but not much.
On AMD's clock speed seems to make the biggest difference. My A64 is only slightly better than a XP thoughbread. I think if you wanted bang for the buck a would go with cheap boards and durons.

You might try our own D2OLProgress http://www.free-dc.org/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=8627. But note for duallies: at this time the automatic windows-progressd-service-install feature can only be done once on a PC. A second instance will need to be run from the DOS command line.
