May - Output Goals

Seeing as it is coming to the end of the month, thought it may be good to set some weekly targets / monthly total goal for next month.

Activity seems to be increasing, along with output - good chance to push the output even higher in readiness for the supposedly upcoming DPC push...

What do you reckon?

Seems as though a daily output of 2million is possible, making the monthly target a minimum of 62million. Sound good?

Souds like a good plan to mee Meepers:) Now if this darn job would finish on the onlymachine thats currently working for me, then I could pump more into the team. Its at (84% with 54 Hits and is running since the 22nd).

I think 1.7 a day and 50 million is more realistic unless we have 5 or 6 new entrants with 50k daily apiece.

To find 300k a day would be pushing the guys/gals here quite a bit.

I think 2 million a day, even though it is more than we do now, would be a good target - need to set your sights high... no shame in only coming close towards the start of the month but making up for it later on....

1.7 a day is a goal that we seem to be able to hit 2.0 and 2.4 come but with some of the targets running those High point days come in waves
I think it will avg, out to close to 1.9
The important thing is we work as a team and do the best we can Small and big alike I am sure it will all work out:thumbs:

PS we as a team have outputted 40.757,136 points to date from 4/1/05
and we still have 4 days to go in the month

Against the Cows, might I suggest a more subtle approach such as A-1 steak sauce instead of the A-10 anti-tank aircraft.

They are doing over 40K/day so we would need everyone to return to full power they had when we were dominating. Probably should start a thread to see if people want to go back to full power there.

Unfortunately the megafarm hasn't played well in FAD in the past for some reason :(

Fingers are crossed. No major bomb outs yet, but production isn't what I'd hoped for either. We'll see in a few days as a lot were just started the last day or so.

I did some capacity testing at FAD over a year ago I think there limit is around 7,000 jobs per Hr Every time I exceeded that the fad servers crashed out out did not update the stats
The last time I did it I did a 20 K job upload in 45 Min The stats went down for the weekend
But No Jobs were lost A good thing

So I Am sure the stats might go down a few times, and my raise a warning flag to the FAD Amins to UPGRADE:bouncy:

The main aim of this change was to address an obscure file locking problem which had the consequence of corrupting results under some circumstances - mainly heavy load. The current software (1.25g released later that year) also validates that the correct number of bytes have been received and saved on disk before removing them from the queue. This may seem overkill but a little overkill can go along way ... We can increase the number of concurrent servers which are receiving results quite quickly but we have not found this necessary at present.
