Until, he completed a job with the wrong settings and has gone back to XPC... clearly in a pickle!

That shouldn't send him back to XPC though,

He would have to have re-saved one of his setups that is set to XPC team.

Team is taken from the last saved setup.

jasong, looks like you are back to square one.

You've got to check the configs for all the servers that you have crunching to make sure that the team number is indeed 2020.

Humph.

Un-stomped, as JasonG goes back to XPC......

If he only has one computer, and it isn't running FaD, how did this happen? Could someone else be using his email address?

Actually, since nothing is passworded, whats to prevents someone from hijacking anyones account over to another team if their email address is known?

I think I know what happened here. Just before I left home today to come down to Florida, I reassigned the Pc I had crunching for jasong back to me. I'll bet that that node id now belongs to me, so his last node has reverted back to being his latest.....

I'll fix it in the next day or so

Sorry!!

Net connection in the hotel here is not good either, been down most of the evening..

Bok, you could reassign it back to Jasong, then uninstall it, remove the registry entry (if windows) then reinstall to get another Memebr number.

That way you can fix it for him and not effect it.

rsbriggs, you could change the team but i would be easy to get it back so it's pointless...

(although I've just had a thought that a recent change could lock you out of your account :s, will need to go check :scared: )

Yes,

that's the plan, but I can't get to it until Friday :(

Tried it on my laptop here, but for some reason FaD won't install..

Are you installing using Mains or Battery ?
It won't start under battery power, not sure how this effects seting it up though as FaDSetup will still start

It's on mains, I've been running it before, but I thought I'd uninstall and re-install after wiping the registry, but it gets some esoteric error. I'll try later tonight when I get back, otherwise I'll just do it on a remote linux box instead :)

Thanks Fluffy!

Got another one running for jasong on a linux based XP2800. Shouldn't take too long :)

I JUST THIS MINUTE found this thread.

I didn't realize how much trouble I was causing! Right now I'm crunching SOB, so if Bok wants to give up, that's perfectly fine, although I'm sure my points would be helpful to the team.
