For those of you who need the definition of a Hydra cluster(no I don't know where the term came from):a computer node or nodes completely dedicated to crunching for a DC team and/or project.
I would prefer to run it myself, simply because I'm addicted to DC and have little cash to buy my own hardware, but I'm willing to donate if someone else is preferred. Obviously, it would run as a team node with a publicly known name.
But I'm getting ahead of myself, especially since I haven't yet learned to run Linux.
Whatever the team decides, I'll respect. And if this topic gets really popular, I'll edit this post so it's less inane.
Basicly, I'm opening the floor to opinions of how things should be run, who's in charge of running it, how long they're expected to run it, what happens if they can't or won't run it, how we pay for the initial hardware, etc.
