We'll save a couple of good cuts for you. Do you prefer T-Bone or Porterhouse steaks?

I prefer Porterhouse :D

XP 3200 is running @2310Mhz , XP 2400 still down...

Welcome to Free-DC Thor! I'd be interested in the "FAD rating" of that XP 3200? Look through your {fad directory}/{computer name}.TLG file for lines like "CPU rating : 207" and post the number and the O/S? Thanks -- I'm still weighing semprons against xps -- I like the cool temps of those semprons but the XPs seem to consistenly be faster.

@ MerePeer

The XP3200 is a "real" one with 512KB Cache, FSB 200. It normally runs at 2200Mhz.

The highest FAD Rating I found was 240, that was with absolutly no load besides FAD.
Right now it is at 203, although FAD only gets about 80% of the cpu time. But also the CPU is running at 2300 Mhz right now.
Have to see how high I can get it.:smoking:

When I get the XP2400 running again, I can give you the FAD rating as well. it is an FSB 133 CPU with 256KB Cache wich is running at 2000Mhz.

By the way, I can absolutly recommend the Zalman 7700B cooler! I'm using the AlCu version and it keeps my XP cool!

Every tool reports 50°C under full load, but I think it is more like 60-65°C

Hi, Thor. Good to hear from you again.

I agree completely on the Zalman coolers. Not going to retrofit, but I'm using only Zalman on new builds.

@ Paratima

I had to deal with my new Hardware, I had to sent the Board and the Ram back because it wouldn't work.

Then I had a small Motorcycle accident (my fault:bang: ) so it was a little hard to move a lot for a few days...

And now I'm back to Free-Dc right in time for Barbecue :|party|:

And now I'm up to 2420Mhz with my XP3200 :smoking:
