We have just started using a new server

We have started a new server, so if you expirence any problems please post them under this thread.

The server is hosed up again, all my systems running screenfulls of 60 sec timeouts................. :( Moved them off to crunching other stuff.

with a bit more detail...

Server Side:
the server is OK
the database is OK
the web service is OK
the WU handler service is failing connections

Client Side:
the client is unable to fetch the Function Library file
...either the function library is unavailable or the connection is not made, preventing the file from being downloaded
the connection attempt is unsuccessful
FIDA resolves to try again...etc...

Just wondering:
Did the Key file change from the old server to the new one ?

EDIT: oops, is down again. Only crunched three units

Hi Everybody,

The server problem was due to a malfunctioning script that should have restarted the server when a part of the simulation is over.

It is fixed now, and hopefully we will have a stable run now until next server "upgrade".

We appriciate that you nurse your client software so much :thumbs: :thumbs: :thumbs:
