So?
I'm trying it. Seems lighter than Norton.

Hey Carlos,
I've been using(edited), AVG Free edition Antivirus for about 4 months now and seems ok. There are virus updates almost daily and it has caught several trojans while surfing the net. Otherwise I still use MacAfee on my other machine and it is good but I think I'm going to switch when my subscription is done as it is such a hassle to get an update from them without having to navigate their roadblocks to get downloads.
While your testing would you try AVG Free and tell me what you think?

I got a 5 user network subscription from AVG around ten months or so ago. Have been quite happy with it. I've used both Norton and McAffee or whatever it is, and prefer AVG to both of them.

Ok. Tonight I will test AVG Free. Do I have to stop NOD32? I had to stop Norton and the internet connection when I was installing NOD32.
I don't have problems with virus because I don't surf too much and I delete all messages unknown to me so sometimes I don't if the antivirus is good or bad.
I also use TrojanHunter.

NOD sounds like it's a slimmed down version of Norton AV, I know Norton it could well be, I'd switch it off as I've rarely heard of 2 AV's being able to co-exist on the same system.. and the updates for McAffee AV ain't that but unless there is an engine update what I was able to do is fool it into thinking I had infinate time to do this no new subscription but I'm using an AV version that is old.. I can put XP on here but don't want the hassle of ****ing around with it all and turning off most of the god damn annonyances of XP aka "bugs" / "Security features" I got software to take care of all that and it's better than MS ****...
