View Full Version : Bewes problem..
Ok,
I just installed Bewes (Mousetracker) and signed up and such.. but it's not working on my machine :(
I get an invalid registry entry. Tried uninstalling, re-installing but still no good. Any ideas ?
Can someone perhaps export the registry key for me?
HKEY_LOCAL_USER/software/BMT
and I'll import it manually..

Bok,
Did you see this:
If you get a missing file MSINET.OCX you can download it HERE (http://bmt.bewes.be/dl/msinet.exe),open it and let it extract in the BMT folder.
Rename the bewes.txt to bewes.reg.
Cheers,
Carlos
Yes,
I'd see the bit about the OCX and done that.
Imported your registry settings and now it works just fine!! Thanks Carlos

I just had a look at Bewes.
Seems to be run by an add firm.
Has anyone checked the client for SpyWare ?
Seems ok to me, I just checked it out with Ad-Aware, Spybot and NaV and it passes.

How do you come to the conclusion BMT is run by an add company?
Never had any problems with the client, none of the spyware tools or virus scanners I use has ever complained about BMT.

Guys,
Look at this member (http://stats.free-dc.org/new/userstats.php?proj=bewes&name=TheaSiX).
He is making more than 100km per day! Is that possible?

Why would you give such a service for free? Are there hidden costs? I am suspicious.
We give you this service for free because we want to put our main site , which is currently under construction, in the picture. It will offer various quality services. Instead of littering the internet with advertising we chose to give people something usefull. Note : Only use this software on computers where you are allowed to install it.
'various quality services' wonder what they might be !!
Also the forum has posts asking to click on 'partner links.

Well, if you click the "partner links" (like the tradedoubler or the neopets on their homepage in the menu on the left) they will get some money. As long as that does not hurt us ... we're free to click on that ads (or not to click them).
Whatever their quality services are - their homepage up to now only consists of this single project - I don't see any hint that they are promoting any other commercial project. I don't want any kind of spyware on my computer but I can't find any hint they'r spying right now. But keep us updated, I'm happy to hear any news on this.

Carlos He could be running a mouse macro on a loop where his mouse curser runs around the screen at the speed of light

This project is full of cheats.
It isn't a DC project so I suppose it doesn't matter too much.
Are the points scored in this turkey actually being included in the DCR ?
