Check the date and time on c:\windows\system\foldtraj.scr and look if there's a file called sspred.val in c:\program files\distributed folding project\ (or wherever you installed it).

I already found out about the sspred.val. It exists in the program folder and I even tried copying it to the c:\windows\system folder as I was getting a specific error for that file.

The date and time for Foldtraj.scr is May 31st, 2002 12:27:40PM for both created and modified time.

Then it could be an unrelated problem. I suggest trying the command-line client - if this works without crashing, it is probably a video driver bug. Although I have not had any problems with nVidia drivers before so Im not sure how likely that is. Do you have any 'special' OpenGL drivers installed for your video card?

I have the 29.40 drivers running for the video card. Asus came out with their version of the drivers. I have not added any special openGL drivers. I unded up redoing my machine last night and am currently running a set to see if maybe something had unknowingly gotten screwed up that a full reinstall may fix.

Seems to be fine. It has processed two whole sets without any crash or error, one overnight and one during the day without any interruption from me. I checked the stats from another computer and am not at home yet so I'll check when I get home to be absolutely sure. Maybe I'll get back up into 13th place again on my team. Maybe.

Whatever it was, it is gone. Got the Screensaver on my home 98SE machine and I am in the process of adding the text client as a service to the machines on a WIn2000 network I set up. Soon, my rank should rise sharply.
