Well, its a long weekend and I am sure that some of you will be travelling. Just remember to be safe and enjoy yourselves.

Done my travelling for this week :)

Was 90F in Miami when I left on friday afternoon and 97F in Raleigh when i arrived... bah

Anyways, 4 days off work now.. I'll be doing some eating and drinking this weekend, as well as some coding :p

Other than the obvious smart-aleck answer that every country has a 4th of July ON the 4th of July, let's hear about some other holidays unique to countries.

For instance, my mother tells me that France's Independence Day comes just 10 days after ours, which means my French relatives will be having their own celebration soon. It remains to be seen whether or not any pyrotechnics are involved.:D

Historicly speaking, wouldn't French Indipendence day would be the day France is liberated from being occupied by an attacking country. I seem to recall France has surrendered every major war. So the French Indipendence day "is the day someone saved our butts."

Grate show :banana:I had about 20 people over on my roof top deck ,it was fun.
It went for 2.5 hrs and Ended with every one holding and shooting off Roman candles while I shot off mortar shells
Down side I and my daughter each got 3 burned :cry:fingers ouch
