Just in case any one missed eran's pst in the Dimes forum
Hi all, here is a short update on what has been going on at DIMES.
Many interesting things are happening. To those of you who are interested, we have submitted for publication a paper which describes DIMES, and initial results gathered by it. You can find an early version (and short) version of it in: http://www.arxiv.org/abs/cs.NI/0506099 and the full version in: www.netdimes.org/papers/DIMESTR.pdf.
Also we have been busy bees this week organizing Me and Yuval's coming trip to the US. We are now scheduled to give a talk at Berkeley on the 8th of August, at USC on the 10th, at Princeton on the 15th possibly also in UCLA. What we didn't say before is that we're going to give away our brand new DIMES T-shirts at these talks. You can see us model these shirts here:http://www.netdimes.org/DIMESteam.jpg and here: http://www.netdimes.org/teamback.jpg. So if you are in the neighborhood and would like one, come on in to get your copy of the DIMES hot couture.
We are now checking options regarding distributing the shirts to any DIMES user who wishes to get one, and we'll update you as this issue is resolved.
Two things for the really near future:
1. We're going to release an update version of the DIMES agent which resolves some of the bugs that were found and extend some minor features. This will be done through user-approved auto update.
2. We are towards the end of the discussion of what will enter the next major version of the DIMES agent. I will post the list in the next few days, for you to comment and suggest additional wish lists.
