What I don't like from the client is that I have to disable Windows XP's firewall when sending results, otherwise I'll be getting timeouts. Anyone got a solution for this?

Run no-net and dump once a week at your leisure ?

You don't have to send often. Just let the client accumulate result and send them in whenever you can be bothered lowering the firewall.

XP Firewall is worthless. Disable it and use the free version of ZoneAlarm.
