    Outage Notice...!

Just in case no one catch this one on the SETI@home website:

OUTAGE NOTICE. On 7/16/2002 there will be some maintenance work performed along our network path to the PAIX, where Cogent picks us up. This work will be done between 10:00 and 14:00 UT. Within this window there will likely be a 30 to 90 minute data server connectivity outage.

So be afraid. Be very afraid

This is why it is important to use a proxy Server.
I use SetiSpy.exe and run the command line client.
You should point to www.dbestern.com:5517 and be sure
and send a WU when you connect. This way the proxy server will fill up your queue, so you don't run out of work units.
Or, any other setiQ you know of that is reliable.
I have not been able to connect with Berkeley for most of the day tho. We are down to 2,000 WUs, 80 results queued to send back already when they can be reached

Yup yup! I am using SetiHide's nice little caching program along with the hiding options! Besides, I only crunch 2 WUs per day. So it doesnt' matter
