    Not that you would notice.
They just went from 60Hz to 120Hz for 1080P which keeps the flickering down on some HDTV displays.

I've got a 52" 120Hz Samsung LCD TV which is already amazing. I really don't think 240hz would be that noticeably better for most people. It helps by filling in the frames inbetween to reduce blur, but I really just don't see any blur at all now so I can't help thinking it's just more gimic than anything.

I think you might only noticed with the fastest paced action like some sports action. But it seems nobody has really tested this yet:

"The 2009 Z series major improvement over the 2008 Z4100 models is its 240 Hz refresh rate. While on paper this signifies better motion resolution, we need to test a production unit to evaluate the degree of improvement,"

For me plasma all the way. The new Panasonic's coming out now/this spring use as little or less power as LCDs now (their new NeoPDP screen) and they have lots of other improvements in general over LCD unless your TV is in a major direct sunlight room.

All the new HDTV details for 2009 are here:

A review of one of the lower-end new Panasonic plasmas:

I was looking at the SAMSUNG LN52B750 . the 240Hz technology, which produces an unbelievably clear picture, no matter how fast the action
    Just like looking through Glass

HDTVs sure have made lots of progress since they were introduced at like $50k or whatever they first came out at. The other big thing with LCD models lately is having LED backlighting which reduces power consumption and just like on computer LCDs it helps provide a better colour spectrum. I'm sure whatever you decide will be very sweet.

    Told you

I'm still highly impressed by mine, though it's the 120Hz 52" version.

Check out some Blu-Ray action if you can..

For non Blu-Ray the action sequence at the start of Revenge of the Sith is simply amazing!!
