    Talking v2.9005-483 beta clients

Good news for the Sparc RC5 people like me. There is a new RC5-72 core for the sparc (KKS 2-pipe) and it's fast.

    Celeron 550 Mandrake Linux 9.0
    OGR: 7286.1 nodes/sec per Mhz
    RC5-72: 2107.6 keys/sec per Mhz

    T-bird 1.51G Windows XP
    OGR: 7676.3 nodes/sec per Mhz
    RC5-72: 3260.4 keys/sec per Mhz

This new Solaris client is the first time my Sun system has been as fast at RC5 as my Celeron system. Very exciting for Sun systems.

I noticed with the beta client on my P4 1.6, it was 100,000 nodes/sec quicker (RC5-72).

Also....on the Athalon XP 1800 OGR was crunching along at an outstanding 300,000 nodes/sec quicker!
