    IRC Server connection delays?

    If you have to endure a 45-60 second delay to connect to the IRC Servers...
    I found out by opening port 1080 on my firewall, it allowed me to connect instantly everytime.

    The old socks port I like the message I get from X-Chat when connecting:-

    " *** No socks server found (good)"
