    WRA started

    Heads up!

I just browsed to http://www.chessbrain.net and noticed that the match already has progressed to move #5

Good luck to the team , that we may fence off the threat of US-DC

It seems something happened. All dots from PeerNode network map disappear.

    http://www.chessbrain.net/netmap-flash.html

    Or that is normal?

Agent Smith was right!: "I hate this place. This zoo. This prison. This reality, whatever you want to call it, I can't stand it any longer. It's the smell! If there is such a thing. I feel saturated by it. I can taste your stink and every time I do, I fear that I've somehow been infected by it."

From what I know, only a part of the conference was cancelled. At least the Tutorials take place. And, more important, the WRA does.

This link shows the start times in US relative to Denmark time

It's 8:50 MST here so it looks like 10:00 more minutes. The work we were seeing before must have been testing.

nearly missed it. Was browsing through the forums earlier and noticed a refence to the attempt being today.

I then panicked cos I was an hour away from my machine (which was swithced off) and I wasn't sure what time the wra started.

Luckily I rang home and my mum was there to turn it on.

(She first rang me back, described what she had done - which turned out to be turining the monitor on for me , but I explained things and she eventually turned it on for me). ]

All this was in vain however as I've got home at 3.50 GMT, and the record will prob be starting any min now.

Well, looks like it will be starting any minute, so lets go out and kick some @ss

somewhere it said that the WRA would take about 4-5 hours, so i am guessing that even if you add a boxen or two after it starts, it may still be counted.

    i am adding more now

Ditto here. Can't find superNode, and I can't even get the chessbrain.net web site now.

if i have 50+ CB clients on a LAN connected to the internet via DSL (only 128KBps upload speed) and the supernode goes down, do those 50+ CB clients flood my upload trying to connect to the supernode? effectively DDoS'ing myself?

my DF clients i was uploading have quit and won't start

i think there is too much traffic

    CB MOC question:

what do the color changes of the text mean?

they all went red while the stupidnode was down, now many of them have gone back to black text

The CB MOC color changes to red when the client hasn't seem a work request for ever so long - about 900 seconds, I think - 15 minutes.
